Great question! As well as being the smallest of all our Bento Boxes, the Bento Two has a different configuration inside.
The Bento Two has 2 compartments inside and comes with a removable divider included.
The Bento Five has 5 compartments, and the Bento Three and Three+ have 3.
Our Bento Two lunch box is a light, compact snackbox. It comes with a removable divider* which allows you to separate the two compartments into three for more variety. When inserting the removable divider please ensure that the arrow on the underside of the divider is pointing towards the inside of the lunch box. For bigger appetites it’s a great option to be packed alongside a Bento Three or Five.
‘Wet’ foods such as dips and yoghurt can be safely packed next to dry foods in our Bento lunch boxes.
Bento Two Boxes can be hand washed or washed on the top rack of the dishwasher after each use and then left to air dry.
The Bento Two lunch boxes hold 500mL which is 2 cups of food.
Little Lunch Box Co products are all made of durable hard wearing BPA-free, food safe materials. We recommend hand washing in hot soapy water and drying in an open, upright (like a tent) position overnight.
We recommend that you always store your lunch box with the lid open when not in use to allow the seal to fully dry. Storing your lunch box with the lid closed can result in mould growth.
Yes! Because each compartment is airtight, our Bento lunch boxes can be packed the night before and kept in the fridge ready to go in the morning.
The Bento Two lunch boxes are leakproof for wet foods only, like dips and yoghurts, thicker sauces etc. They are NOT leak proof for liquids. For that reason, foods such as watermelon and citrus fruits may need a paper towel folded up at the bottom to soak up any additional liquids to prevent liquids from crossing over to other compartments of the lunch box.
We recommend using Vinyl stickers to label your child’s lunch box - there are a wide variety of options available online.
